Deanna Langlois

Owner & HSE Consultant

 With over 10 years of experience in the health and safety industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Southwest Safety Consulting. I completed my HSE training through the University of Alberta and obtained my NCSO designation through the Construction Association of Manitoba. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on disaster management and am currently preparing to write my exam this fall for the CRSP designation through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals. I am proud to be the only certified partner for Energy Safety Canada COR audits in Manitoba.

What drives my passion for health and safety consulting is the dynamic nature of the field. I thrive on the challenges presented by ever-changing tasks and the need to adapt to legislative changes. The variety of experiences I gain from both office and fieldwork keeps my role engaging and fulfilling.

Community involvement is integral to my mission. Having grown up in a small town and now raising my children in a similar community, I recognize that supporting local businesses is essential for the vitality and sustainability of these areas. By fostering connections within our community, we not only ensure our collective success today but also lay a strong foundation for the future.

Salle McAuley

HSE Administrator

Hi, I’m Salle, an Australian by birth, Canadian by choice, and HSE Administrator at Southwest Safety Consulting. My career began in frontline emergency response as an Advanced Care Paramedic, where I experienced firsthand the critical importance of workplace safety, injury prevention, and emergency preparedness. Working on-site, including on the CGL Pipeline in British Columbia, I dealt directly with injuries, safety incidents, and the real-world impact of safety protocols.

Now, I’ve transitioned into the proactive side of safety management, ensuring that policies, reporting, and compliance efforts are not just about ticking boxes but truly protecting workers and improving safety culture. Originally from Australia, I’ve traveled the world and now call southern Manitoba home, where I’m passionate about enhancing safety processes and ensuring workplaces are prepared for anything.

At SSC, I specialize in WCB claims, audits, documentation management, and implementing digital safety solutions to make safety seamless, proactive, and effective. Let’s work together to create safer, more compliant workplaces!
