Southwest Safety Consulting is growing! We’re looking for a motivated Part-Time Field Safety Representative who wants to make a difference in the oil & gas, construction, and industrial sectors across Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Key Duties:
Southwest Safety Consulting (SSC) is a trusted provider of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) training and consultancy services. We specialize in delivering comprehensive HSE consulting tailored to our clients’ needs. Backed by a team of seasoned professionals, we have extensive experience in high-risk industries, focusing on serving the oil and gas and construction sectors.
Our company values revolve around ensuring that our clients are never just a number; we maintain close working relationships with them, adopting a 360-degree approach to safety. We are dedicated to helping lower incident statistics for our clients and contribute to the overall safety of our community through our consulting services and educational courses.
This role is all about support and teamwork — not policing crews. We want someone who can partner with workers and leaders to create safer worksites, not act as a “safety cop.”

Key Duties:
Conduct field safety inspections, site observations, and provide program support.
Offer practical, boots-on-the-ground safety guidance.
Collaborate with the Southwest Safety team and report findings clearly and constructively.
What We’re Looking For:
- Safety experience or oil & gas/construction/industrial background (asset)
- Knowledge of Manitoba and Saskatchewan OHS legislation
- Comfortable using digital safety systems, reporting tools, and mobile apps
- Experience with SiteDocs (asset)
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Team player who collaborates and reports back to leadership — no “safety cop” mindset
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to worksites
